What time do Services start?

We currently offer a hybrid Service, both in-person and available online via Zoom. Our Services start at 10:00am, and include chanting, gathas, and a sermon by a Minister. Typical services last around an hour. Everyone attends the same service, ranging from our senior-citizen members to kindergartners. We request that if you attend in person that you have no Covid symptoms and to please wear a mask.

How can I receive a Zoom link?

What is the appropriate attire for Services?

Come “just as you are”, you will see everything from jeans, shorts, and slacks to T-Shirts, Polos, and Button-downs.

Are there programs available for children?

Yes. We do have special activities for children & families that occur throughout the year, like our Obon Festival and Mochitsuki.  In addition, there are cultural/religious activities for children that are held as part of Sunday services, for example Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Day) Festival in March, Kodomo-no-hi (Children’s Day) in May, Day of Gaki (Halloween) in October. We also have a month-long Children’s summer camp, Saishin Dojo, in July-August.

Do you have a parking lot?

Parking: There are two parking lots at Senshin, the main lot is on the corner of 37th St. and Raymond Ave., the other one is located on the west side of the Temple at 1341 W. 37th St. Both parking lots are connected are on Temple property and our Hondo (Main Hall) is accessible from both lots.

Are there programs available for youth?

Youth Program: Our High-School group, known as Jr. YBA, meets once a month and on occasion have activities like Fundraisers, Religious Seminars, or Social Activities

In memory of those who have died in that month. On request, the listing of the name of the deceased and the person observing the memorial appear in the Prajna newsletter.
