Buddhist Women’s Association

An Affiliated Organization sponsored by the Temple

We strive to be friendly, receptive and helpful to those who attend Senshin Temple — whether they are members, guests or first-time visitors. Let us strive to, even in small ways, live our lives and help others to live their lives with Jodo Shinshu teachings as our guide.
Senshin BWA

The Senshin Fujinkai was originally formed in 1928. The onset of World War II saw the group disband and re-established in the 1950’s.

Renamed to Senshin BWA (Buddhist Women’s Association), the purpose of the organization is to support the religious, social, and cultural activities of Senshin Buddhist Temple with ‘womanpower’, while also striving to further individual member’s understanding of the Buddha-Dharma.
